Free Summer Fun Challenge Printable — So "I'm Bored" Is Not an Option This Summer
There's a funny thing that happens every June.
For nine months straight you're running. School pickups, practices, permission slips lost, projects due, lunches to pack. The calendar is so full you can barely breathe.
And then suddenly — nothing.
Summer arrives and it's glorious for about four days. And then the kids are bored, you feel guilty that you're not doing enough, and somehow three months pass in a blur and everyone goes back to school in September feeling like they didn't actually do anything.
I've been there. Every summer.
The Summer Fun Challenge was born out of exactly that feeling — the desire to slow down without completely stopping. To give kids something to look forward to without overscheduling. To make sure summer actually feels like summer.
It's a list of simple activities — build a fort, make s'mores, catch lightning bugs, stay up past bedtime — with milestone prizes built in so kids have something to work toward all summer long. Complete 5, complete 15, complete them all.
And when they go back to school in September? They'll have a list full of checkmarks that says we did things this summer. We didn't just survive. We celebrated.

Ready to make summer feel like a real celebration?
Summer is full of moments worth marking — backyard cookouts, pool parties, neighborhood Fourth of July gatherings, end-of-season get-togethers. My summer party collection has everything you need to make any of them feel intentional.
Invitations, favor bag toppers, water bottle labels, gift tags — all the small things that turn an ordinary Tuesday into a memory.

Small things make big memories. That's the whole reason I make what I make.
Have the best summer.

P.S. "Send a postcard to a friend" is on the challenge list. Just saying. 😉
